Pogues in Bob Dylan radio show, Jan. 08

Is this the first time Bob has featured The Pogues ? This is the playlist for this weeks show. I should be able to hear a download of it this evening and, eventually, attach a sound file of Bob's comments .

He’s performed some of the most interesting Irish music of the past few years and his writing reflects an ethnic pride. I’m talking about Shane MacGowan.

Just read Dylan's Chronicles and thought it was brilliant, especially the way he describes song-writing, which reminded me of similar things Shane's said about the 'process'. Definitely worth reading, he comes across as a great guy, not the miserable c**t that's portrayed in the media, and unlike most celebs he wrote the book himself.
