Bloguemahone: Dispatches from the road

Post Mon Jul 18, 2005 5:24 am

A spiffy spot to discuss James' missives from the war.

And don't it look all, well, bona fide, against that vellum grey background, (I had put my foot down for ecru, but DzM led me away from that, rather fey, idea) and the word 'exclusive' at the top and everything and the copyright stuff at the bottom. Shouldn't 'Blogmahone' have one of those 'r's in a little circle next to it or something? ('Bloguemahone' had been my suggestion.)

Should have proof-read. It says about the bus 'to London' - well of course, the bus was coming from London.

I neglected to describe Andrew's suit, which had an air of ex-convict about it and looked as though it might well have been worn once by Charlie Watts.

We've got days off, now, before going to Japan, so, of course, there's nothing to write about.

Really great stuff James!

Some funny things about Shane's wardrobe and Spider's 'tray' hahaha.

Keep it up!

Thanks a million for your brilliant story! Viva Shakespeare :D
Though reading it (story) can turn out a hard ordeal for non-native speaker...
One additional question: was Joey Cashman at Guilfest, too?

Joey was not at Guilfest. We had such conflicting news of him, that he seemed to be in two places at the same time, nowhere in our vicinity, however. Had he been at Guilfest, that would have made it three places at the same time, and on the way to being virtually ubiquitous.

"I want this one page of all of them to have an ecru background" quothe James.

"To hell with your wants and desires" said I, "You missives will conform! Conform I say! Like all the other pages! Besides, that would be totally fey!"

I'm a real hard-nose. And I didn't want to admit that I'm not entirely positive what color ecru is.
James, et tu? wrote:and the word 'exclusive' at the top and everything and the copyright stuff at the bottom.
Yeah. Wasn't positive about that "exclusive" part. Then I figured "what the hell? Is it anywhere else just yet? Surely that makes it exclusive? Now tomoroow when it starts making the rounds the exclusivity surely will go away, but for tonight - glory!"
James, our man on the ground wrote:Shouldn't 'Blogmahone' have one of those 'r's in a little circle next to it or something? ('Bloguemahone' had been my suggestion.)
Hmm. The "ou" just seemed really superfluous in there and changed the feel of the word too substantially (Yes, yes - "Blogue" rhymes with "Pogue," but it just feels wrong. "Blog" rhymes with "Bog" or "Log."). Still, I bow to your auther's editorial sense. The "ou" can be resurrected if called for.

And a circle-R registered? Hmm. Hadn't considered that. I'll get right on the paperwork for it, the TM, and (what the hell) SM too.

"I saw him scribbling over the set list in the porta-dressing room, arms on his knees, stabbing at the paper with a marker, wiping his nose with a fore-arm, impatiently cuffing the paper. I left him to it. We all left him to it. Doesn't do to come between the bowman and his target. "

Lord, that's brilliant - put me right there! Thanks so much, James! The only drawback is that it made me even sorrier I couldn't be there.
