We expect to have decisions about tonight's show and the remainder of the tour by 2pm today at the latest. Nothing any of you say or do can make this happen any quicker than that.

The odds that 2pm will come and go without an announcement. . .2-1.

To answer a question asked a few pages back - while the weather in Philly and NYC is very nice at the moment, we're expecting rain at some point this evening. The original forecast called for snow tomorrow morning but now they're saying freezing rain (I know they're two different things but to me they're about the same). All of which is standard for this time of year.

MARCH 15 ROSELAND A STATEMENT FROM THE POGUES

Post Thu Mar 15, 2007 5:56 pm

Shane MacGowan suffered severe damage to ligaments to one of his knees when he fell on stage at the Orpheum Theatre, Boston on March 11, which caused the late cancellation of last night's opening New York show by The Pogues at Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan. Shane is under constant medical supervision and analgesic control, but The Pogues, including MacGowan, will appear at tonight's (March 15) show as scheduled. As long as Shane gets through the show without complications, the remaining two shows on the tour, at the Electric Factory, Philadephia (March 16) and Roseland, New York (March 17) will also take place.

The Pogues would like to take this opportunity to wish their fans, friends and supporters all over the world a very Happy St Patrick's Day.

Please contact your ticket agent directly if you need a refund or a ticket exchange for last night's show.

Good luck for tonight (trying hard not to use a well-known 'showbiz' cliche !)

YAY! MY HEROES!

Seriously, I hope Shane's ok and tonight's show won't mess him up any further.

Hope to see you in Philly,

So I guess Shane is not going to be River Dancing at any of these shows, eh?

Bravo Shane, Philip, all of the Pogues, and those who kept the faith.

See you in Philadelphia!
Above all, singer and coma drunkard Shane MacGowan also without teeth are nevertheless again and again beautiful. - Babelfish
