Just in Ireland by the look of it, sound great though and loads of style ala Alabama 3

When I posted this, they still had all dates of the Dec. Tour on their myspace page.

Most dates are showing again on the Urban Voodoo Machine's myspace site:

I have seen them playing at a Gypsy Hotel night (Spider and Andrew have also appeared at GH events in the past), they're not a bad live band, think they would be a good choice of support (if indeed they are). Also saw a few members of the band in the crowd at one of last years Brixton shows.

From the Pogues Myspace:
The management called and offered us the Stranglers as special guests for manchester evening news arena. So we said yes. Urban Voodoo Machine will be there too. They'll be opening on all dates except for the second brixton when it's going to be the Flaming Stars.

Support Bands?

Post Thu Nov 20, 2008 9:20 pm

Sorry if I've missed this thread but have they been announced?

Currently loving Mumford & Sons and Broken Records but can't imagine they will be on the tour.

Can hardly wait until Leeds but cannot believe there are still tickets left. People must indeed be skint.

I've never understood the "I want to see something different from The Pogues". If you "want to see something different from the Pogues", then go to a different gig? The likes of Flogging Molly, DKM, BibleCodes, Neck might be similar in style (and at the same time, not), but they play different songs and sound different.

Oh well, more time in the pub before hand

Agree with that, if i want to listen to a different style/genre/type of music then i'll go to a different gig as you say!
