Make the most of it. It's been threatened with closure. There is an online petition to save it, here:

Unfortunately the Canterbury has never, as far as I'm aware, been concerned to provide wheelchair access. Assuming that's still the case, I'm afraid I shan't be signing. Sorry folks.

As far as I understand it, both are problems. Though never having managed to get into the place, I can't personally verify the interior facilities.
Anyway, thanks for the offer, but as Brixton Academy stipulate that wheelchair users need to be in the venue before or around door-opening time, and it's a working day for me, I suspect I'll have to go straight to the venue on arrival, rather than visiting any establishments beforehand.
So it's not in this case down to my own needs, but I do have a real issue with places that have never bothered to sort out their accessibility. There's no real excuse for it.

Sure will, that would be great. You wouldn't believe how ridiculously complicated it always turns out to be getting me the approx. 65 miles from here to there. Chances are I shall end up waving at you all from the wheelchair-accessible bit at the edge of the Academy.
