Thank you sooo much! Spent almost half of my monthly salary to buy the ticket and get to Moscow, but still I'm happy, 'cos that was really great! Anyway - thank you, gentlemen! Hope it's not the last gig in Russia. Please come again - this time in Saint-Petersburg!

Thank you and thanks to all the people who came out to see us in Moscow. It was a pleasure to play for you. Now, if only you could fix those traffic jams. 8)

Well, Moscow holds the 3rd place in the world for traffic jams (after Beijng and Johannesburgh). Poor heritage of the communist past and wild capitalism of the 90's. I think that rainy Sunday they weren't that big. Especially if you come to the club by the Metro :-)

Philip, you all were really great, many thanks for your great commitment. I hope you will come to Moscow another time. I woke up on MONDAY morning and found myself really happy (does it happen to you often on MONDAY morning?:-) So did my friends that'd seen THE POGUES live. One the happiest moments in my life was the 'Fiesta' and the whole second encore.

By the way: was you 1.5 hour delay connected to piano breakage?

Here comes the set list. I'd appreciate if someone could fix it for I don't trust my memory :-)

1. Streams of Whiskey
2. If I should fall from Grace with God
3. The Broad Majestic Shannon
4. Boys from the County Hell
5. A pair of Brown Eyes
6. Tuesday Morning
7. Kitty
8. The Sunnyside of the Street
9. Bottle of Smoke
10. The Old Main Drag
11. Greenland Whale Fisheries
12. Thousands are sailing
13. Dirty old Town

Encore

1. Sick bed of Cuchulainn
2. Sally MacLeanne
3. Poor Paddy

Encore
4. A Rainy night in Soho (was announced twice, but 'Bottle of Smoke' was performed at first time;-)
5. Body Of An American (??? Shane played it with broken guitar string)
6. Fiesta

Not sure if this is 100% true but pretty close. One of the songs was the instrumental one. I missed it - which one was it?

It was grand - more reports and pics later as I have only now got back to Prague after the intensive and tiring tour. :)
And huge thanks to Philip Chevron and Joey Cashman!

Amazing show, thank you so much! It seems a miracle that it has happened here.

Great pics! Thanks for posting.

By the way, the break-up rumours have obviously spread even to the faraway eastern lands:
Incidentally, do you know that we probably saw the last Pogues gig at the European continent? They have several gigs in Britain and Ireland scheduled and then they wil break up again. And it is not certain they wil get back together once again. (quote from the LiveJournal link posted above)

The rumour mill is truly effective. Or perhaps the desire to have witnessed a truly historic gig is strong. ;)
