Nothing is ever definite until it's definite, and this one grows less definite by the day.

Phil....please tell me that you are going to be playing here later this year. What is causing the problems? I hope you have fully recovered from your illness and are feeling strong.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to agree terms that would make a return trip to Australia feasible this year, although we tried hard to make it happen, in conjunction with some Japanese dates which are now also not going to happen. However much we would love to go back to Australia - and we would - it is simply too big and too far away to put ourselves through so punishing a travel routine with so little to show by way of financial profit.

My own health improves in fits and starts as usual thanks. It will be some time before I can consider myself "fully recovered".

Thats very disappointing to hear Phil, I was finally hoping to see the whole band performing together here after all these years  . But if its not financially viable, I fully understand. Here's praying that it won't be too long before you come back our way, and that then you will be "fully recovered". Take care and thanks for replying to my question.

That said, do you think there is a decent of chance of coming down for, say, next year's Australian V Festival? I've noticed bands such as Pixies, Jesus and Mary Chain, Duran Duran etc have played the Oz shows aftre playing in the Uk the year prior....*crosses fingers*

Well, we never take an option "off the table" unless we have to.
