The show at the Wiltern last night was by far one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. I have never heard a L.A. crowd be so LOUD!!! It was wonderful. The band sounded fantastic, Shanes voice was strong and packed with emotion. I had tears in my eyes at least three times. The first thing my daughter, who is seven asked me this morning was "Dad thanks for the t-shirt and did they play Fall from grace with God, yes I replied, did they play Pair of brown eyes, yes they did baby, did they play the song about Christmas, they sure did I said. They did all my favorites she said and I said yeah, and they played all of mine too. THANKS POGUES for such a great show and I look forward to seeing you tonight.

The one song I really wanted to hear in Atlantic City was "Lorelei". I was at that show with a good friend of mine who named his daughter Lorelei after the song. I'm hoping it slips into the set list on Friday, it's always been an emotional favorite of mine.

Thank you for an incredible show last night. I honestly dont think my first Pogues gig could have gone any better. Thanks to your spot-on performance, and the generosity of some Forum members, I had a night to remember.

Last night was perfect. The only thing bad about it was the fact that it had to end.

Thanks to forum-member Lttlecupcakes, I was able to go last night; an extra night that was totally unexpected.
Ive never met met someone so generous, and so down to earth. Seriously. He didnt have to do any of the things he did last night, and I am eternally grateful.
I also got to meet DzM, Georgecat, and a few others whose usernames currently escape me. They were all VERY cool, and not once did I feel like the newbie that I am to this forum...

And of course, the band. What else is there to say other than perfection? The sound was killer, the lighting was perfect. The band was in top form, Shane was in great shape, and there was not a single disappointment.
The setlist was the standard one, but that didnt matter one bit to me. The songs selected are perfect.
I overheard people saying that last night was the best night of the tour so far, and even though I havent seen the other shows, I can see why they would say it.

And afterwards, the band was very nice, very friendly. Not once did they turn down a request for a picture or a shaken hand. Ive never encountered such professionalism, or honest-to-god kindness.

Last night was perfect. Just perfect. If Friday comes even close, then its also going to be magic.

I am always impressed by the kindness and generosity of the vast majority of people on these fora. I fine group of people that I'm proud to know.

And to orrok61, I didn't see your lovely daughters aftere the show, but I hope they enjoyed the "upgrade" as well.
