James and team, also known as Cranky George, are releasing their first collection of music. You should buy it! Tell him I sent you.

James is also using this opportunity to sell some spiffy, hard to get Pogues merchandise. Don't miss your chance to get Awesome Things from him.

James says:
After five years, pretty much, in the making, Cranky George - the band I’ve been playing in (besides the Pogues) for the past, I don’t know, fifteen or so years - has finished its debut (and maybe only, but you can’t rule anything out) album.

Pre-sale is now available for the limited edition, signed, numbered, heavy-weight vinyl, double album, called Fat Lot Of Good. Pre-sale is only available at this stage through Pledge Music, at this address:

http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/crankygeorge

As well as the album, you’ll find on Cranky George's Pledge Music page many other items that go with the record : CDs, t-shirts, bundles, collectibles and memorabilia. Or items that kind of stand alone: signed lyric sheets, CDs. Or items that don’t much go with Fat Lot Of Good - well, tangentially maybe: desirable rarities - from Pogues t-shirts (some of them dating back to 1988), photographs (press and otherwise), singles, albums, a DVD and other merchandise.

This endeavour is devoted, primarily, to bring Cranky George’s music to people’s attention (the playing is great and the singing is fantastic) and second of all - well, there isn’t a second of all.

Please check back later. We’ll be adding items in stages.

Independently released music lives or dies by word of mouth. It’d be brilliant if you could help spread the word about Cranky George and Fat Lot Of Good. Here's how:

Please share the Pledge Music link above with friends and family
I’ve attached a flyer. Post it on your social media channels
Feel free to interact with the Cranky George Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CrankyGeorgeMusic/), by ‘liking’ it and/or sharing Cranky George’s posts on your own page
Feel free to tweet. Here’s a Twitter-handy link to Cranky George’s Pledge page:http://pmusic.co/3oeAqz

Buy a record - either the limited edition, numbered, double album, or the CD (both come with a download code). I’m proud of what we’ve done. I’ve been playing with these men for a long time. Something obviously rubbed off.

Cheers,

James

Thanks for the heads up, DzM. Just preordered. May do more later, but blimey if that's the exchange rate sterling really is screwed.

If any Pogues fans haven't registered for the Cranky George pledge preorder, I'd highly recommend it. Some good stuff on there. 8)

The Pogues swag is very, very tempting. Have already done a pledge on this one, and am now having to give my fingers a serious talking to so that they don't go clicking for some more...
