There were around a dozen copies of this in Head Music in Belfast at 10:30 this morning They're on Facebook as Head, Belfast. They don't have an online store but if you contact them they may be able to arrange something for you. Your best bet is to try http://www.banquetrecords.com who will be putting all unsold stock on sale from midnight this coming Friday. I used them last year and they had quite a few titles available. Postage was only a couple of quid and the actual album is £29.99. You can currently request that they send you an email to notify that it is available. http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD14TPJS

If anyone else after this Spun out Records in Northampton had about 4 copies when I was in there earlier they have got a internet sales thing as well. I would also like to say thanks to Aidy at Vinyl underground in Northampton for ordering in a copy for me. BUT be warned it is a double album in red vinyl but £32.95 is a bit steep. It looks great and sounds great and is a limited addition so I'm happy thou a bit poorer now.

Well done. No chance of getting hold of it here, as far as I've been able to find out. Of the two local stores participating, as listed on the Record Store Day site, one closed over a year ago, and the other sells only classical music. Sad.

Oh that's bad FH. I didn't have much luck either. I found out last night after a skin full of wine that Probe Records in Liverpool were doing Record Store Day. I mean, I seriously should have known, they do a lot of this type of stuff. They opened at 8am this morning while I was still sleeping off the wine. I did intend to go down and see if I could get a copy but on log in to Twitter found they'd sold out in just over an hour. I honestly did not expect it to be that popular in Liverpool, seems I was quite wrong.

I don't think anyone thinks this album is quintessential Pogues. But Strummer is one of the best frontmen ever. I don't care what your band is, Pogues, Stones, Nirvana or anyone ... it is worthwhile to hear a night with the band fronted by Strummer. I've had the bootleg for a while, but it was grainy and tinny sounding, so it was good to hear this on vinyl. My opinion is that Strummer does great with the more rockin songs like I Fought the Law and Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah but he wasn't as great with the songs that had more of an Irish sound, like IISFFG and Sickbed. But all in all it sounds like it was a hell of a night.

I was at one of the Strummer shows in San Francisco. I had a brilliant time. He fronted the show fantastically. It was, as you say, one hell of a night.

Yep you're both spot on. I was at this London gig and it's etched in my mind because it was so different. He didn't suit every song but those such as Hells Ditch and The Clash tunes (obviously) were very special.

The Garden in Norway has a few online for 299 NOK/32£.
http://www.thegarden.no/index.php?curr= ... str=pogues

It would still be worth it to check on ebay as the postage rates are expensive in Norway.

The first time I looked, there were none on sale. I checked back later and there they were again. So it might be worth checking from time to time.

It's OK, just found a seller on Ebay that had three left. £29.99 + £3.70 postage and packing.

Unfortunately can't put a link up on this laptop, haven't found out how to do it yet as it's one of them new Chromebook thingies and works off a different operating system but I'm sure if you search Ebay you'll find it.
